I am Beth Christensen and currently work as a production technician for MCL Industries. My story with The Village has been a great one. I started working with MCL on June 15, 2015, as a temp with Encadria. After working as a temp for 7 months, I was hired as a full-time employee on January 27, 2016. I was one that didn’t have any manufacturing experience when I started. The people I worked around were wonderful and patient with me having to learn the different skills that I had no knowledge of before working here. Everyone we work with is considered family within The Village. It’s nice to walk down the aisle and people smile and say hi to you by name. It’s a family feeling when you know the owners, the CFO, and your manufacturing leader can come down on the floor to talk to you and know you by name. So now that I have been here for 6 years, I will be becoming a Team Lead. There are many different opportunities for people to grow. If you want to just build stuff, you can. If you want to work your way into a management position, you can. If you prefer the office atmosphere, you can transition there. That is what I love about this company – they will help you get to whatever you want to be and there’s a lot of fun along the way. You will not find a manufacturing company quite like us anywhere. We are unique, we have fun, and we are a family. That is why I love working for The Village.
